I was going to post something yesterday.
Instead I spent yesterday working on me.
I spent the day doing what I wanted to do.
I had a good Damn day.
I was going to write about Politics. I was going to write about Veterans. I was going to write about how I as an American, identify other Americans. Words that come to mind. Labels. Good and Bad.
Instead I’m going to write about TIME. Because If I posted something about Veterans Day.. Well I’m late! Honestly I’m not very good with TIME. Even though it is definitely something that we all share. Like death.
Hurry up and wait was probably my least favorite thing about the military. I get bored easily. So standing around an extra 5-10 minutes every day for the sake of being early bugged the ever loving shit out of me.
As a civilian I rejected the be the idea of hurry up and wait in my personal life but I have often let my laziness get the best of me and it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows.
Time is all we have. It’s literally more important than anything else that we try to hold dear to our hearts. I wager getting used to a Hurry-up-and-Wait mentality is good for everyone. If you have a few extra minutes before you need to do something that’s just time you can spend with your self. Thinking about the future. Thinking about your self. Thinking.
If that doesn’t sound fun to you, I’m worried for you.
